Keeping Up With Kennedy

One down and a mouthfull to go.

Last night I took Kennedy to see Camelot at the Hale Center Theatre in West Valley City, Utah. The show was okay. Kennedy enjoyed the music and costumes. The best part of the show happened right before intermission. Kennedy's bottom left tooth has been loose for about a month. Shane and I have been encouraging her to wiggle it. I made her a tooth fairy pillow to get ready for her visit.

Just before intermission, Kennedy started to get upset about the fact that it was almost ready to come out. She was scared that it would be painful. I took her out of the theatre. We spent about 10 minutes in the ladies room. She started crying when she saw that she was bleeding. (I don't think my dear girl will ever be a doctor with her fear of blood.)

She got a lot of sympathy from people passing in and out of the restroom. I asked her to let me pull it out but she wouldn't let me. I finally got her to give it one quick twist and the tooth was out. She was surprised by the lack of pain and we both cheered.

When we left the restroom, we were approached by a young woman that worked at the concession stand. She had heard all the noise we made and offered Kennedy a free treat. After that Kennedy was more excited about the free candy bar then the lost tooth.

We took the tooth home and placed it in her magic tooth fairy pillow. While in dream land, the tooth fairy placed three dollars in the pillow... One bill, one Susan B and one Sacagawea. When she woke up the next morning and discovered all the money she received, she started wiggling on her other bottom tooth.
